Ⅰ.The role of gear reducer for the electric car
The reducer is an independent component composed of gear transmission, worm transmission, and gear-worm transmission enclosed in a rigid shell. It is often used as a reduction transmission device between the original moving part and the working machine. It plays a role in matching the speed and transmitting torque between the prime mover and the working machine or actuator, and is extremely widely used in modern machinery.
The reducer of an electric vehicle is generally integrated with the differential assembly, because the output torque curve of the control motor is very consistent with the ideal driving power requirements of the vehicle, that is, the requirements of low-speed large torque and high-speed small torque.
1.Decrease the speed and increase the output torque at the same time. The torque output ratio is the motor output multiplied by the reduction ratio, but it must be noted that the rated torque of the reducer cannot be exceeded.

The reducer gear plays a role in matching the speed and transmitting torque between the prime mover and the working machine or the actuator. The reducer is a relatively precise machine, and its purpose is to reduce the speed and increase the torque. There are many types, different models, and different types have different purposes:
1.According to the transmission type, it can be divided into gear reducer, worm reducer and planetary gear reducer;
2.According to different transmission stages, it can be divided into single-stage and multi-stage reducers;
3.According to the gear shape, it can be divided into cylindrical gear reducer, bevel gear reducer and cone-cylindrical gear reducer;
4.According to the layout of the transmission, it can be divided into expansion type reducer, split type reducer and coaxial type reducer.
At present, the mature and standardized reducers include: cylindrical gear reducer, turbine reducer, planetary reducer, planetary gear reducer, RV reducer, cycloid reducer and harmonic gear reducer. Ⅲ.Precautions for installation for the harmonic drive
Compared with other reducers, the stain wave gears has the advantages of high precision, high torque, high rigidity, and high transmission efficiency. However, the working principle of the harmonic reducer also determines that it has many shortcomings. In order to effectively avoid Due to errors in assembly, vibration and abnormal noise may occur in the harmonic reducer during operation. Please strictly observe the following precautions for the assembly of the harmonic reducer during assembly.
1.Precautions for wave generators
Please avoid applying excessive force to the bearing of the wave generator during assembly. The insertion can be performed smoothly by rotating the wave generator.
2.Precautions for rigid gears
A.Confirm whether the flatness of the installation surface is good and whether there is any skew;
B.Check whether the screw hole is raised, has residual burrs or foreign objects;
C.Confirm whether chamfering and avoiding processing have been performed on the assembly part of the housing to avoid interference with the rigid gears;
D.After the rigid gear is assembled to the housing, confirm whether it can rotate and whether there is interference or jamming in some parts;
E.Pinning a rigid gear may cause a decrease in rotation accuracy, so please avoid it if possible.
3.Precautions for flexible gears
A.Confirm whether the flatness of the installation surface is good and whether there is any skew;
B.Check whether the screw hole is raised, has residual burrs or foreign objects;
C.Confirm whether chamfering and avoiding processing have been performed on the assembly part of the housing to avoid interference with the flexible gears;
D.When combined with rigid gears, check for extreme unilateral meshing. When a one-sided offset occurs, it may be due to center offset or skewing of the two components.
4.Other considerations
A.The harmonic drive must be installed in a clean enough environment. No foreign matter can enter the reducer during the installation process to avoid damage to the reducer during use;
B.Please ensure that the gear surface and flexible bearing part of the reducer are always fully lubricated;
C.After installing the wave generator, please confirm that the meshing between the flexible gear and the rigid gear is 180° symmetrical. If it goes to one side, it will cause abnormal vibration and damage the flexible gears;
D.After the installation is completed, please run at low speed (100rpm) first, if there is abnormal vibration or abnormal noise, please stop immediately, recheck whether the installation is correct or contact us to avoid damage to the reducer caused by incorrect installation.
